New co-opted member

Victoria Music is proud to announce that at last nights Trustee meeting Kirsty Walker was co-opted onto the committee to utilise her experience and expertise in order for us to enhance the logistics of the charity and take the aims forward. Kirsty is a fountain of knowledge and will be a tremendous asset to our future, experienced in bid making she will help us to structure the charity so that we can move further into the community and into the wider area; encompassing arts in education as has been started this week by Rob Littler with the Vikings.

“I have worked with VML for 18 months now and have thoroughly enjoyed the opportunity. I have previous experience of running a charity with a large budget and multiple projects and also of fundraising, and I am very pleased to giving back to VML by helping them in this way”. Kirsty said.

VML to work with Vikings on ‘Viking Rap’

VML are pleased to announce that  they have been commissioned to create the ‘Vikings Rap’ in a joint project. Leader Rob Littler will be joining Beck Jones of Vikings Health in going into 25 schools throughout the borough and running workshops.

The first part of the workshop will be a Q and A session on the charity and why community arts is important, then the students will hear a rap backing track created by Rob and make up their own rap. The best one will be adopted by the Vikings and played at the stadium before the match on July 21st.
