We formed Halton Community Artists, bringing in amateurs and children from all around the Halton Borough to create a showcase of memorable West End musicals.
The production was a sell out and helped to cement what we do in the arts but also put many people on stage for the first time in their lives, some as old as 65!
Following the success of ‘Magic of the Musicals’ we took the production in its entirety over the river to Widnes and performed in the presence of the Deputy Mayor in aid of a well known local testicular charity, ‘The Mark Gorry Foundation’. With the help of Marc Dockerty, one of the performers, and his company Greenergy we managed to raise on the night over £7000 for the cause and in doing so also helped to highlight charities working together for the common good.
